Teaching and Scholarly Interests

Professor Breidenthal’s academic research focuses on employee creativity and well-being as well as social networks and relationships at work. Her teaching interests include organizational behavior, human resource management, and creativity in organizations.

Professional Activities

Professor Breidenthal’s research has been published in Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decisions Processes, and Management Teaching Review. Her research has been highlighted in the Harvard Business Review and Knowable Magazine. She is the co-author of the Creativity chapter in the Oxford Bibliographies in Management. She’s an active member of the Academy of Management (AOM), Southern Management Association (SMA) and Management and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society (MOBTS).

Prior to earning her Ph.D., Professor Breidenthal worked at Accenture as a Senior Manager in their Consulting workforce. She specialized in post-merger integration, operating model re-design, program management, and human resource management process design. She presently provides executive education and advising services through her firm, ConnectWork Consulting, LLC.
